Street Condition Update for Thursday, December 21, 2017, 10:45 p.m.

Twenty material spreading crews continue to apply granular salt, pre-wet with brine on arterial streets and bridges. After midnight, operations will be scaled down to four crews patrolling routes and treating trouble spots as needed.

In its Hazardous Weather Outlook, the National Weather Service forecasts little, if any, wintry precipitation overnight.  Crews report wet and generally good driving conditions. Low wind chills are creating areas of flash freezing on sidewalks, streets and bridges. Drivers are urged to use caution overnight and into the morning hours, especially in residential neighborhoods.
