Street Condition Update for Saturday, February 16, 2019, 8:45 a.m.

Crews completed plowing and material spreading operations overnight and are on standby until the next winter storm moves into the area this afternoon. Arterial streets, school and bus routes range from wet to partially snow-covered with clear wheel tracks and will improve as de-icers and sunshine continue to work throughout the day.

Residents should stay alert for slick areas and black ice this morning, especially on untreated streets and sidewalks.

Slow down and allow extra travel time and stopping distance. A National Weather Service winter weather advisory has been issued for 3 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Two to four inches of snowfall are possible, which could create slick driving conditions and low visibility.
