With the National Weather Service forecasting light freezing drizzle developing after midnight Wednesday, City crews, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Thursday morning, will pre-treat arterial roads and bridges with anti-ice brine. Applications will be completed by 8 a.m. for morning commuters. Conditions will be monitored and reassessed between 8 and 10 a.m. Thursday regarding the need for additional treatments.
Snow and ice accumulation is expected to be minimal. However, due to wind chills approaching single digits and falling pavement temperatures, isolated freezing and slick spots may occur. Drivers are urged to use caution.
