Parking Bans: A Snow Emergency and two parking bans are in effect:
- A snow emergency parking ban means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes. Maps of these routes are available at lincoln.ne.gov/snow under the “Parking Bans & Ordinances” tab. Please plan for alternate parking to allow crews room to clear the way safely and efficiently.
- A residential parking ban means that parking is banned only on the odd numbered side of residential streets during 2025. This will assist snowplow crews in clearing neighborhood streets faster and more efficiently. A residential parking ban applies to streets that are not emergency snow routes, arterials or bus routes or included in a snow removal district.
City Operations: Winter operations crews continued working overnight plowing arterial and residential streets. Crews will remain on duty today to clear the way.
National Weather Service: An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect until noon today, February 18. Snow showers are possible today.
Weather conditions: Overcast
Street conditions: Streets are partially snow covered. Drivers should be alert for slick spots.
Next update: 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 18.
