Snow Removal/Parking Ban Update for Thursday, March 7, 2019, 11:05 a.m.

More than 75 crews are plowing and treating arterial and residential streets.  As arterial routes are completed, more crews will be deployed to residential areas.  Arterial streets vary from wet to slush-covered, and residential streets are snow-covered.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially on untreated streets.

The Mayor has declared a snow emergency for the City of Lincoln.  Parking is banned on both sides of all emergency snow routes, bus and school routes and other major arterial streets.  For a map of these routes, visit snow.lincoln.ne.gov.  Residential parking bans are not in effect, however citizens are encouraged to remove vehicles from the street to allow crews to safely and productively plow streets over the next 24 hours.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
