Snow Removal Update for Friday, February 15, 2019, 4:30 p.m.

Ninety-three units continue plowing and applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to arterial streets.  Crews will incrementally end operations over the next five hours as the storm moves out the area and arterial routes are completed.  Material spreaders with plows will remain on duty overnight to patrol and treat trouble spots.  Arterial streets are partially snow-covered.  Because snowfall did not reach the 4-inch threshold for additional operations, residential streets will not be plowed.

The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. today.  Be alert for slick spots and black ice throughout the day.  Slow down and allow extra travel time and stopping distance.
