Lincoln Transportation and Utilities has declared a Snow Emergency for the City of Lincoln. No parking bans are in effect at this time, but residents are asked to prepare for removal of vehicles from emergency snow routes, bus routes and arterial streets, if necessary.
City Operations: Arterial streets have been plowed and treated. Crews will be on night patrol monitoring for drifting snow and refrozen areas.
National Weather Service: Extreme cold, blowing snow, and high winds with wind chills as low as 45 below zero are possible.
Weather conditions: Partly cloudy and windy
Street conditions: Streets range from wet to partially snow-covered. Drivers are urged to be cautious and watch for slick spots, especially on untreated streets.
