Winter Operations Update for Friday, January 15, 2021, 9:25 p.m.

City operations:  Twenty material spreaders remain on duty this evening and will remain overnight through the morning commute patrolling arterial, bus and school routes applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as needed.

National Weather Service: The blizzard warning expired at 3 p.m. today.  The winter weather advisory expired at 7 p.m. tonight.

Weather conditions: Blowing snow and wind gusts expected to continue before diminishing in the overnight hours.

Street conditions: Crews report most arterial streets are wet with near normal driving conditions.  Some areas may refreeze, and drivers should be alert for slick spots. Isolated outlying and open areas continue to experience blowing and drifting snow.
