Street Condition Update for Friday, January 17, 2020, 4:30 a.m.

Twenty crews are on patrol applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as needed to arterial, bus and school routes.  Crews report streets are mostly dry with wet areas and normal driving conditions.  Winter driving conditions are expected to develop prior to the morning commute.

The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday.  Mixed precipitation with snow accumulation of one to three inches, freezing drizzle, and gusty winds are predicted.  Drivers should watch for isolated slick spots as the snow increases, especially on untreated streets.
