Snow Removal Update for Thursday, March 7, 2019, 4:25 a.m.

More than 60 City crews are plowing and treating emergency snow routes and arterial streets.  Crews are expected to begin plowing school and bus routes after 6 a.m., when plowing of primary and secondary routes is complete.  Heavy snow and freezing fog has reduced visibility.  Streets are snow-covered and responding well to treatments, but traffic may create snow-packed surfaces.  Drivers should be alert for reduced visibility, slick spots and black ice during the morning commute.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.  Snow accumulation of up to 5 inches is possible.
