City crews have completed treating arterial streets, school and bus routes with granular salt, pre-wet with brine. Operations have been suspended for the evening, with crews standing by overnight to monitor conditions. Arterial streets are dry with normal driving conditions. School and bus route conditions range from wet with slush to partially snow-covered.
The National Weather Service Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. today to noon Monday. Wind chills as low as 30 degrees below zero are possible. Drivers should be alert for slick spots during the Monday morning commute. Wet and slushy areas will be subject to refreeze and the formation of black ice, especially on untreated streets.
