More than 60 City and contractor crews continue to plow and apply deicing materials to emergency snow routes, arterial streets, bus and school routes, and the odd numbered sides of residential streets.  Arterial streets range from dry to snow and ice packed with slick conditions.  Routes will be continuously staffed overnight to deliver improved street conditions for the Tuesday morning commute.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots and areas of refreeze.

Two parking bans remain in effect.  The snow emergency parking ban prohibits parking on both sides of emergency snow routes, bus and school routes, and other major arterial streets.  The residential parking ban prohibits parking on the odd numbered sides of residential streets.  For a map of these routes, visit snow.lincoln.ne.gov.

Vehicles parked illegally during snow emergency and residential parking bans are subject to fines, towing and storage costs at the owners’ expense.  Parked vehicles that block emergency vehicle access may be ticketed for obstructing a public street.  For information on towed vehicles, call the Emergency Communications Center, 402-441-7204.
