Twenty City crews are patrolling arterial, bus and school routes applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as needed. Plow crews are standing by. Bridges and key intersections were pretreated with anti-ice brine overnight. Arterial streets are becoming wet and partially snow-covered.
The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. today. Snow accumulation of up to 4 inches is possible. Be alert for slick spots and black ice throughout the day. Slow down and allow yourself extra travel time and stopping distance.
