Twenty City crews are currently treating arterial streets, bus and school routes with granular salt pre-wet with brine. Crews will remain on patrol overnight monitoring road conditions and applying deicers as needed. Streets are currently wet to slushy with winter driving conditions.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 p.m. Thursday. Light snow continues with total accumulation of one to three inches possible. Gusty winds up to 40 mph on Thursday could decrease visibility with blowing snow. Drivers should use caution, slow down, and increase following and stopping distance when traveling.
