Street Condition Update for Friday, December 28, 2018, 4:20 a.m.

Twenty City crews will remain on duty through 8 a.m. today applying granular salt, pre-wet with brine as needed to arterial streets.  Street conditions across the city range from dry to wet to slushy to snow and ice covered.

Drivers are urged to use caution. Be alert for frost, black ice and deteriorating weather conditions creating slick spots on streets, sidewalks and untreated areas.  Recent snowfall may have started to cover previously treated roads.  The west and northwest parts of the city have received most of the snow.  Please give City crews plenty of room to work.

Please stay informed on the status of snow operations in Lincoln.  Additional information is available on the City website at snow.lincoln.ne.gov.  If you have questions, you may call the Public Works Snow Center at 402-441-7644.
