Street Condition Update for Friday, December 28, 2018, 10:50 a.m.

Twenty-five City crews will remain on duty throughout the day applying granular salt, pre-wet with brine as needed to arterial streets.  Light to moderate snow continues after reentering the area before dawn.  Streets are responding well to treatments and are currently wet with slush.  Periods of higher snowfall rates may temporarily cause streets to become snow covered and slick.  Winter driving conditions should be observed.

Drivers are urged to use caution. Be alert for frost, black ice and deteriorating weather conditions creating slick spots on streets, sidewalks and untreated areas.  Recent snow may cover previously treated roads.  Please give City crews plenty of room to work.
