City crews are nearing completion of plowing operations for arterial streets, school and bus routes. Over the next few hours, the number of crews will be reduced from 57 to 20, which will patrol all routes throughout the evening, plowing and applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as needed.
Treated arterial streets are generally wet with slush. Untreated street conditions are fair with some slick areas. Drivers should be alert for refrozen areas as temperatures fall, and anticipate some streets being recovered by blowing snow.
