Due to weather-related power outages, multiple traffic signals are not functioning, and others may be snowpacked. If you encounter a signal that is not working or is not visible, slow down and treat the intersection as if it were a four-way stop.
Lincoln Electric System reports about 2,600 customers were without power at 7 p.m. LES can be reached at 888-365-2412 or les.com/report.
LPD reports about 24 accidents in the City today, about the same as last Sunday when conditions were rainy.
Twenty City material spreaders will remain on duty until midnight treating streets with granular salt pre-wet with brine. After midnight, the City will scale back to four crews, one patrolling in each quadrant. Streets are in fairly good condition with some areas starting to show signs of drying.
For tomorrow morning’s commute, drivers are urged to use caution, slow down, be alert for slick spots and allow additional stopping distance.
