Street Condition Update for Friday, April 6, 2018, 4:45 a.m.

With a high chance of snow starting during the morning commute, twenty City crews are applying a preventive layer of granular salt pre-wet with brine to emergency snow routes, other arterial streets, and school and bus routes.  Routes will be complete before 6 a.m., and crews will monitor and treat developing slick areas as snow moves into Lincoln.

Drivers are urged to use caution and be alert for freezing conditions that could make streets and sidewalks slippery, especially if untreated.

A Winter Weather Advisory for Lancaster County is in effect until 6 p.m. The National Weather Service forecasts up to two inches of snowfall in the region.
