Street Condition Update for Sunday, April 1, 2018, 11:25 a.m.

Twenty City crews are applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to  emergency snow routes and arterial streets.  The material spreading operation will continue until snowfall intensity diminishes over the next several hours.  Crews will remain on patrol to monitor street conditions.  Plow crews are on standby and ready to deploy should conditions warrant.

Central streets are wet with slush, and outlying streets are slush and snow-covered.  Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time due to reduced visibility and possible slippery road conditions.  The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. today.  Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible.
