City crews have completed treatment of emergency snow routes, arterial, bus routes and churches applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as an anti-icing treatment and liquid brine as a de-icing treatment. Four Crews will continue patrolling emergency snow routes, arterial, bus routes and trouble spots. Overnight treatment efforts will be reduced to a quadrant crew.
City crews report that arterial streets are wet with some slush. Residential streets may still have some slick spots but will improve quickly by morning as the temperature rises. Traffic is moving normally. Drivers are urged to use caution as bridges and overpasses may be icy in some areas due to refreezing as temperatures lower overnight creating slick spots. Be alert for untreated surfaces, as they may not be fully dry.
