Twenty-five City crews are patrolling emergency snow routes, arterial, school and bus routes applying granular salt pre-wet with brine as an anti-icing treatment and liquid brine as a de-icing treatment. Falling temperatures have caused refreezing conditions. Over the next few hours crews will continue to treat roads with ice fighting measures.
City crews report that emergency snow routes, arterial streets and some lower volume areas do have slick spots due to freezing rain and overnight temperatures creating icy conditions. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution. Be alert for slick spots on bridges, overpasses, and streets.
