Street Condition Update for Sunday, February 11, 2018, 11 a.m.

Twenty City crews completed treating emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes, with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine at 9:30 a.m.  All units were recalled, and operations have been suspended.

Crews report that streets are slushy with areas of packed snow.  The warming conditions will break up snow packs and promote drying.  Expect significant melting and drying on residential streets over the next few days as the temperatures continue to rise.  Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution on streets, and sidewalks, due to slick areas that developed overnight because of refreezing of wet areas.
