Another 1-2” of snow is expected to come in this evening between 6-7 p.m. ending around midnight. Twenty City Crews continue to patrol emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes, treating roads with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine. Over the next few hours crews will continue to patrol arterial routes, treating and plowing trouble spots in preparation for additional snow this evening. Additional units are on standby should another round of plowing be needed.
Crews report that driving conditions are generally good with areas of packed snow. Arterial streets are wet and beginning to dry. Residential streets are snow packed and slushy. Drivers are urged to use caution. Be alert for snow-packed streets and wet sidewalks creating slick areas. Refreeze of wet areas is possible overnight.
