Twenty City crews remain on duty, patrolling emergency snow routes, arterial streets and school and bus routes after arterial street plowing ended at 10 a.m. They are focused on plowing or treating trouble areas with granular salt pre-wet with brine.
Driving conditions are generally good. Streets are mostly wet with slush, with some areas of snow pack that could be slick. Expect slush to increase as treatments continue working. Drivers are urged to use caution.
According to the National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook, snow is expected to redevelop this afternoon and evening, adding another one to two inches of snow accumulation. Additional units are on standby should more plowing be warranted.
