The City began to see dry snowfall intermittently around 9 p.m. Friday night and end about 2 a.m. this morning. At midnight sixty-eight City crews and contractors began plowing emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes, treating roads with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine. Crews will continue plowing until 7 a.m., treating trouble spots with granular salt.
Crews report that driving conditions are fairly good with areas of packed snow. Drivers are urged to use caution. Be alert for snow packed areas creating slick streets and sidewalks.
