Street Condition Update for Friday, February 9, 2018, 10:30 p.m.

Intermittent snow flurries have begun to enter the area. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 a.m. Saturday.  Two to four inches of snow are expected.  Twenty City crews are patrolling emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes, treating roads with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine.  Crews will continue patrolling and reassessing streets as the winter weather moves into the area. Additional crews are on standby.

Crews report that traffic is moving well and streets are generally dry.  Drivers are urged to use caution as the winter weather moves in overnight.  Be alert for deteriorating weather conditions creating slick areas on streets and sidewalks.
