Twenty City crews are patrolling emergency snow routes, arterial streets and school and bus routes, applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to slick areas. Light snow moved out of the area at 9:30 a.m. However, gusty winds, blowing snow and sub-zero wind chills are causing isolated slick conditions, especially on snow-packed sidewalks or side streets.
Drivers are urged to use caution. As treatments work, expect streets to become slushy and wet.
