Parking Ban Street Condition Update for Tuesday, January 23, 2018, 4:45 a.m.

The snow removal district and parking ban is in effect until 7 a.m. this morning. Residential parking bans are not in effect.  A map of all routes and districts is available at snow.lincoln.ne.gov (select “Snow Operations Map” in the top menu).

Fifty City and contractor crews continue plowing emergency snow routes, bus routes, school routes, and snow removal districts, treating roads with granular salt pre-wet with brine. Crews will continue to monitor street conditions, plowing and treating roads as needed. With melting temps expected, snow may not be trucked out but will be pushed to the curb.

Crews report that roads are snow packed, creating slick areas. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution. Be alert for deteriorating weather conditions creating slick areas on streets and sidewalks. Please leave extra space between yourself and other drivers. And remember to give road crews plenty of room to work.

Please stay informed on the status of snow operations in Lincoln.  Additional information is available on the City website at snow.lincoln.ne.gov.  If you have questions, you may call the Public Works Snow Center at 402-441-7644.
