Street Condition Update for Sunday, January 14, 2018, 7:20 a.m.

At 8 a.m. Sunday, 20 City crews will begin a material spreading operation of granular salt pre-wet with brine on all alterial routes.  Snow began accumulating around 2 a.m. this morning and is expected to end before noon today.

Streets are snow covered and will become snow-packed under traffic.  De-icing treatments will begin changing compacted snow to slush.  As temperatures rise today, streets should be dry this afternoon as Public Works continues to monitor weather Sunday into Monday.  Drivers are urged to use caution. Be alert for slick spots on streets and sidewalks.

Please stay informed on the status of snow operations in Lincoln.  Additional information is available on the City website at snow.lincoln.ne.gov.  If you have questions, you may call the Public Works Snow Center at 402-441-7644.
