Street Condition Update for Friday, February 24, 2017, 11:10 a.m.

As snow continues to fall in Lincoln, Public Works continues a material spreading operation of granular salt, pre-wet with anti-ice brine on all emergency snow routes, arterials, bus and school routes.  Twenty units remain deployed to monitor street conditions and apply material as needed.  Plow teams will be deployed if conditions worsen.

Treated streets are in fair to good condition, but drivers are urged to be cautious and watch for slick areas.  Lincoln Police Department reports 16 accidents, three with injuries, since 5 a.m. Friday.  StarTran reports all routes are on schedule.
