Public Works reports that it will continue through Tuesday morning, a material spreading operation of granular salt, pre-wet with anti-ice brine on all emergency snow routes, arterials, bus and school routes. Twenty vehicles remain deployed. Road conditions are wet, with near-freezing surface temperatures. Residential streets are expected to be ice-covered early Monday.
The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning until 3 a.m. Tuesday, January 17. Light freezing rain and sleet is predicted for Sunday evening, with a possibility of freezing rain and sleet expected overnight into Monday morning.
