City crews have applied sand to all arterials and bus routes and these priority streets are in reasonable driving condition. Some areas are better than others, and drivers should remain vigilant to changes in road conditions when they must travel. Residential streets remain icy and hazardous.
There are four crews patrolling Lincoln streets applying material as required and responding to service requests. These crews will continue working all day Sunday and overnight into Monday. Lincoln Police Department reports 44 accidents from midnight Friday to midnight Saturday and no accidents since midnight Saturday.
