Street Condition Update for Sunday, January 17, 2016, 8:30 a.m.

Light snow began falling in Lincoln Saturday evening and continued into early Sunday morning. City crews were deployed around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night and 20 material spreaders began a City wide application of granular de-icer and brine on City streets. Crews worked overnight, focused on treating all emergency snow routes and arterial streets in Lincoln and plowing areas where significant accumulation has occurred. City crews will continue their work through this morning.

Overnight traffic was light and Lincoln Police Department reported 7 accidents since midnight, but motorists are encouraged to use caution as there are still some slick spots on the roads.
