Parking Ban Update for Monday, December 28, 2015, 12:50 p.m.

Twenty material spreaders remain deployed this afternoon in Lincoln, with all units spreading deicing material on all major routes in a full-scale material spreading operation. If snowfall continues to accumulate, City plow teams will be deployed throughout the City.

The City is currently in a snow emergency. During a snow emergency, parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes, bus routes and other major arterial streets. A map of these routes is available at lincoln.ne.gov (keyword: snow).

Motorists are advised to drive with caution, and make sure to allow City street crews the room they need to conduct their operations. StarTran reports that buses are running on time.
